Who Is Hinata?

Hinata Nakamura is a 20-year-old Japanese multidisciplinary artist who expresses her creativity through dance, singing, violin performance, direction, and composition. Her compositions are inspired by Impressionism, Japanese music, and 20th-century music. As a dancer, she enjoys exploring a wide range of genres, letting musicality and cross-disciplinary influences shape her expressive style.

Hinata began ballet and piano at the age of three. Through being exposed to shows in Japan, she starts violin and musicals when she was seven. Since dance was what she enjoyed doing the most at that time, she starts prioritizing dance more than musicals and violin when she turned 14. However, the pandemic made her realize how much she enjoyed creating something genuine through choreography, composing, and filming.

Currently, Hinata focuses on creating original compositions through solo/chamber pieces, film music, and indie pop. She also choreographs, dances, and creates films. She is dedicated to developing interdisciplinary works that integrate composition, choreography, and visual storytelling.
